Terry's Artist Bio

Terry Bass is a local artist specializing in abstract painting. Her current focus is mixing and using acrylic paints with different pouring techniques. She endeavors to create a free flowing consistency for her paints that she then applies to her various substrates, which include canvas, wood, glass and ceramic tile. When first introduced to this medium she had never seen anything like it before. She found much inspiration and enjoyment in researching the many different techniques, marveling at the unique randomness of this style of painting. She loves the experience that no two pieces are identical, and each piece expresses a one-of-a-kind personality - truly an accidental art. The constant discovery of ever-changing aesthetic as well as distinctive color and shape interactions bring her great joy.

She has been working with this form for several years, and finds continued inspiration from fellow artists such as Rick Cheadle, Anne Osborne, Carl Mazur, Shelee Carothers, and Rinske Douna.​
